Insight Timer: Meditation App


I just LOVE friends that are supportive of your goals. Yesterday I wrote that I want to try and meditate everyday. Next thing I knew my friend Jen texted me and says, "Try Insight Timer! I think you will love it!" So, last night I downloaded the App. I was super excited to get up in the morning and try it!

Last night Erik had a nightmare. Something about an alien doing research on his brain and we were back on earth and couldn't help him! He was seriously upset. From about 4 a.m. on I rubbed his back and held his hand and not much sleep was had. Today is the boys first day back at school. Maybe he was feeling a little anxious after having two weeks off? I don't know. I do know that we both are very sleepy today.

Pedar got the boys up and out the door. I stayed back and did a five minute meditation. I really enjoyed it. I'll admit that I had to keep reminding myself to focus on my breath, but making my monkey brain stop is going to take some practice!

So here we go on this new practice. I am excited to explore this INSIGHT app as well. There are SO MANY wonderful meditations to try. Thank you, Jen! Love you!
