Last weekend we hosted a sleep-over with Rita, Liam, and Lila. We were even able to play with Addie for a little bit before Lindsey scooped her up for the rest of the night.Read More
Casey went to the second dance at Arden Middle School on Friday. It was his first "real" dance going with an intended date. Lillie recently broke her femur, so she had surgery and has been in a wheelchair.Read More
Yesterday was fantastic! We went to our adorable Beyerford Heights neighborhood parade with both of the grandparents and Dagny, Dean and Addie. We visited after the parade for a bit and then swam with a few friends later in the day. Working the next day takes a bit of gun-powder out of my firecracker, but we still had a great time. I'm going to say it, I am not a fan of fireworks. Watching money burn up in seconds makes me feel a little queasy. Let's bring back the family talent show and teach kids a few patriotic songs. I would like to leave the big firework shows for professionals. Every Fourth of July has a pooper, that's why I invited myself, Fourth of July, pooper!!
Hope the rest of your week is kind to you. Happy Hump Day for everyone working! I'm feeling sleepy right along with you.
The boys closed out a fantastic week of Vacation Bible School at St. John's so we all went to see Wonder Woman on Friday night. It was INCREDIBLE. Saturday we dropped the boys off at my parents house for an overnight (Thank you, Nana and Pops!) and met up with Melanie and Gerry at Bella Bru in Natomas to watch the band ESSEX perform. They were incredible. We could barely keep our butts in our seats. We danced till the very last song was played and left tired and happy.
On Sunday, Pedar got up early and dug the three-foot deep holes for the gate posts. We just hung around the house and swam and relaxed. It was a beautiful day. Pedar and I finally watched Moana with the boys and I loved it! Wow. It was a super fun weekend of great movies and fun times with friends and enough time to relax. Sigh. I love weekends.
The weather this week should be so much nicer. Hope everyone has a great one!
